How is the Valor 1000 ranking developed?

Valor 1000 is compiled by Valor Econômico in partnership with institutions specializing in corporate business analysis. The assessment considers economic and financial data from companies, using various criteria to evaluate scale and performance.

The methodology incorporates metrics such as net revenue, EBITDA margin, profitability, revenue growth, financial leverage, and interest coverage ratio, among other factors. For sector leadership evaluations, criteria related to ESG are also taken into account.

Consequently, this methodology allows the ranking to go beyond a simple list based on company size. The survey seeks to analyze different dimensions of corporate performance and establish comparisons among companies within the same sector.
